The date was
March 21, 1970 for the $75,000 Cougar Open at the Coliseum Lanes, Coral Gables,
Fla. The top qualifier, Mike McGrath, who finished 2nd in this event last year,
met Dave Davis for the championship. At stake was $10,000 to the winner, and a
new Cougar automobile from Lincoln-Mercury. You gotta love McGrath's
sideburns, and Davis's long sleeved shirt and tie (or whatever that thing is)!
