The date was
April 12, 1980 at King Louie West Lanes, Overland Park, KS where Ernie Schlegel
qualified as the #1 seed in the 1980 King Louie Open. Nelson Burton Jr.
qualified 5th, and plowed through the field defeating Bob Handley, Mike Berlin
and Charlie Tapp (making his TV debut) to meet Schlegel, who up to that time was
known as the top money winner without a career title. Please join Chris Schenkel
and Dick Weber with the call for the exciting championship match of the 1980
King Louie Open.
