Once again, we go back to
August 13, 1974 at the $50,000 NEW JERSEY OPEN held at Edison
Lanes, Edison, N.J.
Marshall Holman, the 19 year old kid, qualified 2nd behind Carmon
Salvino. Marshall didn't quite have it that day, bowling against a
hot Don McCune. McCune defeated Holman 255-177 to move ahead to
meet the eventual winner, Carmon Salvino. Holman earned $2,400 for
his 3rd place finish.
